Next Mops Meeting

Hey Ladies,

Can you believe that we only have 2 MOPS meetings leave until we break for Summer?? This year has gone by soooo fast and we are already busy starting to brain storm and plan for another great year for next year. Speaking of that…. We do have some openings on our Steering Team. Think about it, pray about it, and if you feel led in this direction, please come and talk to me or any other steering members. Below you will find the steering positions and openings. We will also have DGLs (Discussion Group Leaders) openings for each table for next year too. There will be a steering retreat over the Summer to plan for next year and just like we did for last year, we will plan the entire year so that we can eliminate some of the steering meeting throughout the year.

a. DGL Leader-Becky Howard

b. Hospitality-Open

c. Finance-Edith Duarte

d. Co-Coordinator-Wendy Mery

e. Mentor Mom-Cheri Alderman

f. Activities-Open

g. Crafts-Open

h. Coordinator-Cheri Thompson

Next topic at hand is our last meeting Tea and Testimony. This is such an incredible meeting and it is going to be such a great way to end our MOPS year this year. I already have 2 volunteers who have agreed to give their testimony. If you are interested in sharing your spiritual journey, please let me know. We would love for you to share. Think about it, pray about, and if you are led to share, please do soJ

Don’t forget on Good Friday, 4-22-2011 we will be having our GCN Annual Easter Egg hunt. This is a family event and if your older kiddos are out of school they are welcome to attend. Please bring a dozen filled eggs per child. If you could bring your eggs to our next meeting on 4-16-2011 that would be great!! We will hunt eggs, picnic, and fellowship together. Don’t forget your camera and sack lunch.

We have also planned our Annual End of Year party. It will be hosted at my house again this year. The date is going to be June 11th. An evite and info will be going out shortly.

And last, but not least our meeting on Friday….

Speaker: Kathy Davis-I have asked her to talk about her passion, which is growing our kids in Christ. Kathy is an amazing teacher, she has a passion for children and God, and not only do my kids learn something from her every week, but I do to. Kathy is the Children’s Director at our chartering ministry, Georgetown Church of the Nazarene.

Craft: Wreath

Food: The Blue table is responsible for food.

Activity: We will have a small graduation ceremony for the kiddos that are graduation MOPS and will be moving onto Kinder next year.

Hope you ladies all have a blessed week!! Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday!!!

Love & Blessings,

Cheri

New Bible Study Starting Tomorrow

LADIES BIBLE STUDY – Beginning on Wednesday night, April 13th, we will begin a new 11-week series entitled “Living Beyond Yourself- Experiencing the Spirit-Filled life.” Noted Bible teacher and author Beth Moore leads an in-depth study of the fruit of the Spirit—living proof that the Spirit of God dwells in us. Through this study, we will come to appreciate the supernatural aspects of the fruit and that we cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on our own. As we walk intimately with the Lord, He develops in us the fruit of the Spirit. Allow God to do a fresh work in your life! A Spirit-filled life truly results in living beyond yourself. Workbooks are optional, but will be available for $14.95.

Hope to see you there!!
Love and Blessings,
Cheri
